The PR experience

This New Idea worked well!

As I was saying before, managing new band is one of my hobby... and become one of my favorite the day I get pay for it.

Back to last Saturday, the band received a lot of applause because I bring a lot of people. No the real reason is they're really good and deserve to be known!

But still at the end of the night I do my job so I get pay (£20 + all the free beverage of the night).

I know is not part of the eBay thing whatever, but is part of marketing course to do PR!

So I'll keep doing that job and will see at the end how much money I made on it!

Back to the "New idea" of November the 5th

The idea was, if you remember, to promote a band from Brighton.

My uncle is the manager, and I'm helping him on his work in London.

The band is coming on Saturday January 26th in London and for this event, my uncle ask me to bring the maximum of people.

The entrance is £5 and the 4 bands of the night will share the money.

If I bring enough people from my own, I'll get something from the manager.

I'll let you know further if it's more than I aspect (£20)!

Xmas, the good eBay friend!

As I explained last time, Xmas is the perfect friend of eBay.

Every year I received some gifts than I don't need or use... Those are still on there riginal packaging and there are in real good condition because never used before, so Brand NEW!

So they can be sale on eBay as new but with an attractive price.

So what I got for Xmas:

- 5 DVDs (movies I have already seen before and I don't really like)

- 1 Perfume (not my fragrance)

- 1 Rugby T-shirt of Stade Francais (that I have to keep for the friendly game back home)

So I made €25 by saling the DVDs (€5 each), the Perfume still unsale.

Easy money!

Xmas

Merry Xmas,

OK the last few times were not what I was hopping from eBay, but it's Xmas time... that mean a lot of potential. 

Xmas a period of the year when you get presents, presents you aspect or not. Here we'll work on the ''or not''. What a perfect moment, goods are still in there packetging and never been open so great value for re-sale, No?

Ok it's look like unfair because it's a present made specially for you... but some of them are just Horrible and deserve to be for someone else!!!! eBay!

So on this point made I wish you all a lovely Xmas and hope you too get some present for your good friend eBay!

Bad News

Back from Paris, the brilliant idea I had is kind of impossible... to expensive to make it because of the risk on it!

So for the eBay project I will find another idea but I'm still working on the Group project things... because in mine point of view it's more interesting than something I already done!

Week of illusion

Ok after a week of problems (VSE, eBay,...) the band I'm working with have been canceled for the next date in London, so I keep this project on but I'm waiting for them to contact me.

About eBay just waiting to go back in France and see what's going on...

Don't really want to talk about VSE...

New Idea

November the 5th, I'm still waiting from my friend to tell me if the idea of iTouch can work!

Meanwhile I don't want to wait to long to make another project on the road.

I've some of my family in Brighton, my cousin moved in UK long time ago and made her family there. Her husband is working as a entrepreneur and he's hobby is similar to mine: Music.

Good for him he get enough money from is work to provide is hobby. From last June he started to make some Gigs in Brighton, find some groups and try to make money from them... Unfortunately it's more paying the place than amount of money, but Fun still there.

So where am I in all of that? Well I'm also helping him to find some bands, to give my advice, and also the main fact of the story, I'm in London so I have a bigger circle of work than  him. To be true as well sometime we have some problem on music but I put that on the fact is English, I'm French, that just can work from the beginning but we still find our way.

The other point of all of that, back on March 10th 2007, we discovered a Band from Brighton, Drookit Dogs (www.drookitdogs.com), we get in to it. So I do my job go to their gigs in London have a talk with them and more. He invited them to play in to one of his concert night, and I continued to follow them in London.

Now my Uncle became the manager of them and he find a producer who want to see them on November 22nd to maybe continue the adventure.

So my thing is to bring a maximum of people to the gig and maybe my Uncle will pay me for that or later on when he'll sign them.
